Biography

Michio Hazama, born October 7, 1933, is a Japanese voice actor and narrator whose career has centered on dubbing foreign films. He has served as the regular Japanese voice of Sylvester Stallone, Roy Scheider, and Dean Martin, and in a 2018 interview placed the number of Hollywood performers he had dubbed at roughly 280. Casting directors once nicknamed him "Hazama in a pinch" for the range of parts he could cover on short notice, a reputation later associated with Koichi Yamadera. As of 2023 he continued to work regularly, making him the oldest active male voice actor in Japan.
