Yuka Komatsu

Yuka Komatsu, born March 8, 1978 in Tokyo, is a Japanese actress, voice actress, and narrator represented by Aoni Production. She grew up surrounded by cinema — her father made films and her mother was raised in a household close to the medium — and from childhood she intended to become a filmmaker herself. Advice led her to begin writing for the stage, and while at university she took on directing duties and occasionally filled in as a performer, which turned her into an actor in practice. She stayed with a theater company and worked as a projectionist while hoping to direct, but the difficulty of earning a living that way pushed her toward voice acting as a way to remain close to the films she loved.
