Tomohisa Taguchi

Tomohisa Taguchi is a Japanese animator, director, storyboard artist, and screenwriter, born and raised in Sōja. He graduated from Osaka Seikei University's Faculty of Arts in 2007 and started as a production assistant at Anime International Company, having originally hoped to make live-action films before deciding to pursue what only animation can express. He made his directorial debut in 2014 at A-1 Pictures with Persona 3 The Movie: No. 2, working simultaneously on Persona 4: The Golden Animation, and was later invited by the Aniplex producer Kazuki Adachi to direct Persona 3 The Movie: No. 4. He was announced in December 2015 as director of the Twin Star Exorcist anime, produced on a tight schedule, and in 2017 directed a new Kino's Journey series at Lerche, for which he varied the color palette and art production company from episode to episode to convey the distinctness of each country.
