Biography

Tomoko Kaneda is a Japanese voice actress and radio personality born on May 29, 1973 in Yokohama, and a graduate of the architecture department at Kanto Gakuin University. She spent eleven years at Aoni Production, went freelance in April 2011, and joined Across Entertainment that August. Her distinctively high-pitched voice, which she jokes barely changes even after she inhales helium, means she is usually cast as small children; she also belongs to the voice acting units Drops, with Mariko Kouda, Akemi Kanda, Ai Nonaka, and Ryoko Shiraishi, and SD-Children with Miyu Matsuki. She married actor Wataru Mori in November 2013 and gave birth to a daughter in July 2017, and the couple divorced in July 2024.
