Chiaki Morosawa (March 28, 1959 – February 19, 2016) was a Japanese anime screenwriter. As head writer, she conceived the "Cosmic Era" setting that underpins Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and its companion works. Born in Urawa, Saitama, she was married to director and writer Mitsuo Fukuda and was the younger sister of film director Kazuyuki Morosawa.
