Biography

Yumiko Kobayashi is a freelance Japanese voice actress born on June 18, 1979 in Chiba Prefecture, who worked under Arts Vision until August 2007. Still a college student, she debuted in 1998 as Mita in Kirara and landed her first leading part in 2001 as Kento Yuki in Denno Boukenki Webdiver. She remains close to Natsuko Kuwatani, Hisayo Mochizuki, and Nana Mizuki, her fellow Sister Princess castmates from the unit Prits. Struck early in her career by Akiko Yajima's dubbing of the boy protagonist in Home Alone, she set out to voice young male characters, and from the episode broadcast on July 6, 2018 she took over Yajima's long-running role of Shinnosuke Nohara in Crayon Shin-chan.
