Overview
The seal on the Dark Demon King Gokuark, who plots to turn Earth into the Great Demon World, has been broken. Eldran, the mystical warrior who has protected Earth since ancient times, reseals him — but Yaminorius III, a sorcerer of the Great Demon World, has already been sent to Earth. The three biggest troublemakers in Aozora Elementary's fourth grade — Kotaro Kirigakure, Rikiya Ryuzaki and Yousuke Kazamatsuri — find a giant robot in the mountains. A glowing figure appears, hands them the Ganbar Commander, warns them of the danger to Earth and disappears. Eldran has entrusted Earth's future to these energetic boys, the "Ganbar Team." But a curse has been laid on the three: "If your identity is exposed, you'll turn into a dog." Nobody can know who they really are — except Kotaro's father Toubei, who has already been turned into a dog by the same curse. They get into all kinds of jams, but they push through on sheer Genki. Then the Demon King Gokuark himself is resurrected. Powering up into Great Ganbaruger, the Ganbar Team manages to win the first round. But a scroll discovered at Kotaro's house foretells the return of three Demon Kings who will destroy the Earth!
