Like a Twinkling Star

Synopsis

On a night of raging winds, a mysterious explosive fire breaks out at the soba shop Komoroya. Gengo and the others rush to the scene, but inside are the mistress of the house, bedridden and too ill to move, and Osuzu, who watches over her. With the wind shifting and the danger of another explosion closing in, a "wind-reader"—one versed in all of nature, able to read the movements of fire—is needed. Gengo races off to fetch Seijuro. Overcoming his inner conflict, Seijuro heads to the Komoroya to save lives. Amid the roaring flames, a fervent rescue unfolds where the weight of life and human bonds intertwine.
