A Sad Destiny! Shurato vs. Gai

Synopsis

Even though Indra was defeated, Vishnu's petrification did not lift. Before a bewildered Shurato appears Gai, whom he thought he had defeated. Gai has inherited Indra's power, and unless he is defeated, Vishnu's petrification will never lift. Severing all the feelings he had held toward Gai, Shurato confronts him. And the swords of both pierce each other's bodies. Gai wears a triumphant smile. But the next instant, along with a dazzling light, Gai vanishes... It was Shurato's victory. Vishnu's petrification lifted. And Vishnu revived the fallen Hachibushu one by one. A joyous reunion—but Gai was not there. He had, it seems, been revived by some other power!
