The Cry of Ogre

Synopsis

Round 3, the Argentina GPX. Hayato is in top form. Kaga also appears on the track with his new machine, the 'Ogre.' But he is still jerked around by it and can't drive it as he wants. Seeing that driving, Clair surmises that the Ogre may in fact be the original of the Alzard. At the reception that night, Kaga senses that Hayato has seen through the Ogre's identity and, without denying or confirming, with a curiously serene air, throws down a challenge to Hayato, who resolves to take it up. The race. Kaga climbs the order, but truly struggles to control the Ogre. Recalling Gray's words — 'you can't be friends unless you trust him' — Kaga stomps on the accelerator, the Ogre responds, and he manages to control it well. Having grasped something, Kaga picks up the pace. Meanwhile, Hayato was plagued by an error in the gear system. Since at this rate all the gears would become unusable, Clair pulls off the feat of rewriting the transmission program in mere minutes. After a brutal battle against Kaga, Hayato brilliantly contains the Ogre, but retires right afterward. And Kaga, in disbelief, watches him go and finishes in 1st place without feeling satisfied. However, Kyoko, who has learned the Ogre's identity, appears and, trembling with rage, destroys the trophy.
