Matchwinner Tsubasa

Synopsis

Against England, the Tachibana brothers' aerial soccer gives Japan the first goal. But the Tachibana brothers then cut off Tsubasa's passes in selfish play. This creates gaps that England exploits for an equalizing goal. Angry Hyuga makes bold dribbling attempts but Steve easily cuts them off. Steve powerfully shoots a goal. The coach, seeing the selfish plays' impact, benches the trio and brings in Wakashimazu. Despite losing main players, Japan catches up with Tsubasa's overhead kick—barely drawing level in intense back-and-forth action.
