Tsubasa vs. Pierre, a fair fight

Synopsis

Their semifinal opponent is Pierre's France. France uses strategy to separate the golden combination. Pierre's elegant ball handling bewilders Japan's team. Even Tsubasa can't respond to his skillful play. Anxious, Tsubasa charges forward without surveying the situation. This backfires and the ball bounces into the goal off Tsubasa—a crushing own goal in the first half. Discouraged, Tsubasa is told by Wakabayashi: "You're making the same mistake I did." Realizing his lack of composure, Tsubasa finally restores teamwork in the second half and achieves a miraculous comeback victory.
