My Own Timbre

Synopsis

As a result of the audition, Aono managed to win a seat above Saeki. But Mr. Ayukawa tells him that, while his technique is high, he can't see a tone that's Aono's alone. The memory resurfaces—of a competition he lost in the preliminaries as a child, when his father called his playing dull. Amid his impatience and uncertainty, he just wants to play the violin. But with final exams looming, club activities enter a suspension period. Members with poor test scores can't perform in the concert. Aono buckles down to study for his exams.
