Humoresque

Synopsis

Summer homework, an observation journal. His father, telling him "isn't that fine?" about the cherry tomatoes he let wither. "Try turning what you felt into sound." Aono woke at dawn. Though he'd dreamed of his father, strangely he didn't feel bad. His father, Ryuuji, a violinist active on the world stage. His childhood, playing on and on because he wanted to be praised. The note he found, as if led there by memory, in the open sheet music was in his father's handwriting. How will you play it? Alone, Aono draws his bow across the violin.
