From the New World
📅 October 8, 2023🕐 25 min
Synopsis
Symphony No. 9, "From the New World," composed by Dvořák after he left his homeland of Czechia and crossed to the American continent. The Orchestra Club members each envisioned their own "new world" within their playing. For Saeki, born and raised in Germany, Japan is the new world. For Aono, who first learned in high school the difficulty and joy of expression through layering sound with others, the orchestra itself is the new world. As everyone's sound becomes one, the Umimaku High School Orchestra Club's journey to the new world begins.
