Synopsis
2019, the 14th Cyber Formula WGPX. This season, the Sturmzender, victorious on its new machine's performance, kept the other teams at bay and won its long-sought first overall title with the Kreuz Schtiel driven by Gudelhian. Entering the off-season, as each team advances preparations for new machines, Sugo too was rushing the new Garland's test runs and the development of Asurada's new chassis. Standing in for Henri, who caught the measles, Hayato test-drives the Garland and posts a time more than 6 seconds faster than the previous year's, feeling that the Garland — with which he can move to the next action on his own will alone — is easier to handle than Asurada, which requires mutual communication. With the 15th Cyber Formula WGPX opener a month away, Hayato, though aware of Clair's efforts developing Asurada without sleep or rest, voices his wish: 'I want to face the opener with the Garland.' Osamu, weighing Hayato's case as a driver and Clair's exhausted state, persuades Clair and has a Garland prepared for Hayato. Visiting the empty garage, Hayato leaves an 'I'm sorry...' to Asurada and departs.
