Ep. 8
NEVER
Synopsis
Amid the fierce battle, Nagumo is arrested. Aoi's pit grows chaotic. Kyoko takes the intercom and tells Kaga that Aoi's race is over, asking him to return to the pits. But Kaga begs to run at least this one race to the end. Moved by that feeling, even the investigation chief allows it. Behind the scenes of the case, the Japan Grand Prix final heats up. Phil keeps driving, even as he suffers under the orders sent from the Alzard. Shinjo, breaking out of the battle for 2nd, fiercely chases Phil and takes the lead. And Hayato, whose left hand has gone numb and can no longer control the steering, ties his left hand to the wheel with a scarf, returns to the race, and catches Phil. Amid a see-saw struggle, Nagumo's final trap is sprung: the Alzard suddenly goes berserk and, unrelated to Phil's will, begins ramming Asurada. Osamu storms into Aoi's pit shouting, but Nagumo, cool as ever, says: 'It won't stop until it destroys Asurada.' To stop that Alzard, Phil destroys it from within the cockpit and, having regained control, slams it into the wall himself, wrecking it. To Hayato, who rushes over, Phil says 'thank you' and loses consciousness. The Japan Grand Prix is shown the red flag, and as a result, Shinjo wins. Phil's driver points are stripped and he is disqualified, and the overall title of the 15th WGPX goes to Hayato, closing the season. The case comes to light, and Aoi, along with an apology press conference, receives a one-year suspension.
