Good Luck, Kowa Clinic

Synopsis

While traveling in Nagano on a bus with Pinoko, Black Jack encounters a girl named Tsuyuko whose eyes are bulging and throat is swollen. When Pinoko suddenly develops severe abdominal pain, Black Jack decides they should get off at the mountain village of Kowa, where Tsuyuko and her mother are headed. At Kowa Hospital, Dr. Kowa examines Pinoko and prescribes medication, then turns to Tsuyuko. When Dr. Kowa recommends medicine, Black Jack advises surgery is better—Tsuyuko has Graves' disease.
