📅 November 8, 2004🕐 25 min
Synopsis
When the director of Manaka Hospital passes away, an election is held among two candidates to choose a successor. Shiitake, with the same 20 years of service as the candidates, is overlooked as a nominee because of his mundane presence, despite his skill. During a construction site accident nearby, both Black Jack and Shiitake, who happen to be there, provide emergency care. Witnessing Shiitake's high medical expertise, Black Jack is amazed to learn he's merely a rank-and-file physician at Manaka Hospital.
