📅 May 30, 2005🕐 25 min
Synopsis
Nagako Shimizu, master of an ikebana school, asks Black Jack to examine her 19-year-old daughter Sono. Sono is gravely ill with only months to live. Nagako begs Black Jack to extend her daughter's life to one year so that Sono can succeed her as the school's master at an audition. Black Jack refuses, explaining that Sono will die shortly after becoming master. But when Sono, resigned to her fate, creates a brilliantly radiant flower arrangement and expresses her wish to live like those flowers, Black Jack is moved by her determination and begins preparing for surgery.
