The Handprint Swamp's Finger-Eating Fish

Synopsis

Hearing from old Ippei about an unidentified monster fish in Tegata-numa — over a meter long, with a yellow body, and known for biting off anglers' fingers — Sanpei heads straight for the swamp. From its voracious carnivorous nature and rate of reproduction, Sanpei suspects it's a snakehead fish (raigyo), but the fish in the sketch a child drew doesn't match. So Sanpei devises a plan: a daring, body-on-the-line trick to catch the monster.
