Synopsis

All the year's plans start at New Year. And Sanpei's, of course, is simply: "fish, fish, and fish some more!" To enjoy the first fishing of the year in the snow country, Sanpei and his friends, with a college student who is spending New Year's in the village, set out to enjoy "Kuki no Don-tsuki" — a unique kind of fishing passed down in the snow country. All Sanpei and the others bring is a shovel and stakes — and the college student can't even imagine how they'll catch fish with that.
