Akebono-ya's Small Net: The Demon Hand and Buddha Heart

Synopsis

Aiming to surpass his father, Shinji takes on a cast-net duel. Unable to find his rhythm at first, Shinji eventually grasps — through his grandfather's words — that his real opponent isn't his father but the ayu of the Ki River, and his sense comes back. Outdoing his father in number of ayu caught, Shinji is satisfied — but his grandfather tells him he has lost. What is the deepest secret and spirit of the Akaneya-style ko-taka-ami? And what does Shinji do once he touches that essence and his father's true intent?
