The River Gorge Magician: The Kingfisher

Synopsis

Suddenly Sanpei and the others get a message from Fumiko, the photographer, and Keiichi, the angler, whom they met long ago at a mountain stream during yamame fishing: the two are getting married. Sanpei looks back on the events of a year ago, when they all struggled to photograph the kingfisher — a kawasemi — hunting yamame in the stream, and wonders if that day was the start of the bond between the two.
