Akebono-ya's Small Net: The Kii River

Synopsis

Sanpei and Shinji head to the Ki River — Shinji's hometown — to learn the Akaneya-style cast net. There, they are taken in by the beauty with which Shinji's grandfather casts the ko-taka-ami. "If you don't throw with a clear mind, the net won't open" — Shinji feels something in his grandfather's words, recovers his cast-net instincts, and completes the song he had been stuck on. Realizing what songwriting truly means to him — and that his real home is the nature of this hometown — Shinji makes up his mind.
